Gulf Shores Plantation East, Unit 1309

We have a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo just steps from the beach in the Private Gated Community of Gulf Shores Plantation. Enjoy the sugar white sand beach and for golf enthusiasts, Kiva Dunes Golf Course is just a 5-minute walk away. Ours is a third-floor condo that is very close to the elevator making the space easily accessible. The main bedroom has a queen bed, and the 2nd bedroom has a queen and a single bed.

Each bedroom has a TV with the living room having a 50-inch Roku TV for your use. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer and microwave. The dining room table can easily fit 6 people for dinner. There is a balcony with a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico which can also be seen from the main bedroom window and the living room.

The property has many amenities for your use such as tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, sand volleyball, outdoor pools and hot tubs, indoor pool and hot tub, workout room, sauna and an on-site restaurant and bar right on the beach. There are beach chairs and umbrellas available to rent during peak months and there are other water activities such as kayaking and deep-sea fishing in the nearby Fort Morgan area that can be rented or chartered. A benefit to staying at Gulf Shores Plantation is that it is actually in Fort Morgan and you will pay a lodging rate that is 9% lower than what it will cost you to stay in the Gulf Shores city limits.

You must be 25 years old to rent and the renter must be staying during the entire rental period. As the person renting you are responsible to make sure everyone in your party abides by the resort policies and is responsible for any damage incurred during your stay. Once you pay your 50% deposit we will email you a rental agreement that must be signed and returned with a copy of your state issued drivers license or ID. As a Veteran owner, we offer a 10% discount to Veterans and any other first responders for a week or longer stay. We just need to some sort of documentation verifying your service and we thank you for your service and hope you enjoy your stay.

I think you will find our condo perfect for a relaxing beach vacation with your family

Owner Suggestions while not at the beach-

Golf- take the 5 minute walk to Kiva Dunes https://www.kivadunes.com/golf...it is worth it, Peninsula Golf Club https://peninsulagolfclub.com/... has 27 holes just 5 miles down the road.

Family fun events-

*Water Parks https://watervilleusa.com/

*Gulf Shores Zoo https://www.alabamagulfcoastzo...

*Dolphin Cruise and can't beat a trip on the Southern Rose (houseboat with AC and Jimmy Buffet playing, always see dolphins) https://southernrosedolphintri...

*Hiking at Bon Secour wildlife refuge (go see the Gator Pond) https://www.fws.gov/refuge/bon...

*State Park https://www.alapark.com/parks/... is their pier that was destroyed during Hurricane Sally but should be repaired by late 2023 and kids may love to visit there.

* Additional things to do with kids while in Gulf Shores: Go karting, miniature golf, kayaking, deep sea fishing, Ride Ferris Wheel at the Wharf and relax at the Beach! https://mommypoppins.com/thing...

History buffs must go tour Fort Morgan https://www.alabamahauntedhous...

Shortly after you cross over the bridge that takes you over the intracoastal waterway onto the island you will turn right on Fort Morgan Rd. It is 13 miles down to the Plantation from there. If you want to get groceries before heading down, to the left is a big Walmart that of course will have everything you need. On your right before you turn you will see a Rouses Market https://www.rouses.com/. They have a quality market with fresh meats and seafood and almost any last-minute beach items you would need. Down another 4-5 miles on your right there is a great local seafood place if you want to cook your own local seafood and it is called Fresh Market Seafood https://www.fresh-market-seafo..., very easy to drive past. Sits in a little center on right as you are heading to the Plantation next to the last gas station you will pass which is a Chevron and also there is a Dollar General right next to it.

Restaurants-

* DeSotos https://desotosseafoodkitchen...., been around many years and country seafood cooking at reasonable prices for lunch, likely best Bushwacker  https://mobilebaymag.com/the-q... for the price that I have found.

*Oyster House https://www.originaloysterhous... -would suggest a late lunch, more reasonable prices and won't have the very long wait times as there are for dinner,

* Hazels Nook https://www.hazelsnook.com/ -been around since 1957 so they are doing something right, if you want some good home southern cooking this is the place for you, they have a breakfast and lunch buffet

*Tacky Jacks https://www.tackyjacks.com/ -is a relaxed environment and most are on the water where you can sit outside and enjoy the breeze off the water, there is one near the Plantation down toward the Fort, casual dining at its best.

*Lulus https://lulusfunfoodmusic.com/ - great environment possibly live music on the intracoastal waterway, again can be very crowded at dinner, go for late lunch or early dinner or just expect a fairly long wait time.

*Fish River Grill https://fishrivergrill.com/?pa... -best burgers I have found in Gulf Shores area.

*Kiva Dunes Grill https://kivadunesgrill.com/-great place to eat before or after golf or really anytime, good food and watch the golfers play the 18th hole with great view of the course.

*Sunliner Diner https://www.sunlinerdiner.com/...-great diner food and they have amazing milkshakes there are many other great places to eat but these seem to be regular spots when we go.

If you are looking for something close to the Plantation and don't want to drive down to Gulf Shores there are a few options-

*Sassy Bass Amazin' Grill https://www.sassybass.com/amaz....

If kids want pizza, no chains close or that deliver but you might try:

*Sassy Bass pizza https://www.sassybass.com/pizz....

*Fort Morgan pizza https://www.fortmorganpizza.co... is also close but never tried it.

*There is a new place very close to the Plantation that is on the Mobile Bay, Jesses https://jessesrestaurant.com/o... just opened and it has fine dining and a more casual downstairs at their location, heard alot about it but have yet to try it.

*I think this recent rating for best places to eat in Gulf Shores area according to Southern Living is worth checking out https://www.southernliving.com...

Where to go for a night out without kid-

*One such place is the world-famous Flora Bama beach bar located of course right on the beach and state lines https://www.florabama.com/

*The Hangout is a place where you could go with kids but may also be a parent's night out https://www.thehangout.com/han...

If shopping is your thing there are lots of little places you shop in Gulf Shores. You could park and walk to many different shops and plenty of places to buy souvenirs and anything you need for the beach. Inland about 10 miles from Gulf Shores you can find the Tanger Outlets https://www.tanger.com/foley to shop. While there if you are hungry there are all different kinds of chain restaurants nearby. If you want a roll thrown at you, try Lamberts https://throwedrolls.com/ which is known for that and is an interesting atmosphere. I know it is a chain restaurant and nothing at all wrong with that just not special to the area. If you are in the BBQ mood there is a Jim n Nick's https://www.jimnnicks.com/nearby and the food is good and their corn muffins are to die for. There is also a shopping area in Orange Beach called the Wharf https://alwharf.com/ which is a neat area with shopping and dining. There is an Italian restaurant called Italian Villaggio Grille http://villaggiogrille.com/, would highly recommend trying if you are hungry and near the Wharf.

Please let me know if you stay and find something you love so I can share your recommendations with others and they can benefit from your experiences at Gulf Shores. Email me at gspeast1309@gmail.com.

Beach Chair Rentals

If you don't want to haul beach chairs and umbrellas down to the the beach the Plantation has a service provided by Suncoast Beach Service from March 1st through October 31st each year. You can reserve 2 chairs and one umbrella for $40 a day or $220 for the week (based on 2023 pricing). Just come to the beach and find an attendant or find an empty seat with no name or room number on back of chair and an attendant will be with you soon.
